I had a delicious breakfast here last week - chilaquiles with a side of potatoes. The tortilla chips were perfectly drenched in cheese and sauce. The potatoes were equally well seasoned. My pina agua fresca was cool and refreshing. I also appreciated the complementary chips and salsa - even at breakfast! I could have eaten more, but had to pace myself. As it was, the portions were large enough that I could have taken them home. If I wasn't traveling, I would have. La Mexicana is colorful, bright, and airy. It would be a great place to sit at a booth for a while. The staff are friendly, thoughtful, and efficient. They care about their customers and it shows. Whether you're exploring Paso Robles wine country like I was, or live closer, I'd recommend making a visit. It's just off the main town square and easy walking distance from some of the major hotels. I'll be back the next time I'm in town.

From Las Vegas I must say best Mexican food. Tastes like homemade #2 tamale, taco. #4 taco, enchilada. Chicken burrito. Finding tamales this amazing is hard to find. Meats are very tender and delicious. Every thing has a delicious flavor. The guacamole dip very great with chips and salsa also use it in my taco. Anyone looking for a great Mexican food great environment this is the best place.

Great place to eat authentic Mexican food. Huge servings and friendly staff. You must try their fajitas and their tacos. The place was understaffed. They took too long to get out orders and get out lots check.

This place is a steady family favorite. The owners are hands-on and jovial. The vibe of the dining room is open, colorful, and happy. Their kitchen stays open later than most restaurants in the area, so that enough is to earn our business.

Great food! Homemade tortillas and delicious food. We are driving back home and had to stop and try this place. I had the machaca plate with potatoes and my daughters had menudo. They use fresh veggies and the potatoes were delicious. If you’re looking for legit Mexican food you have to stop here!

Ordered chicken fajita. No wonder it's recommended by so many people. Decent portion and yummy. Too bad there was not enough rice for two; otherwise, it is definitely a dish that can be shared by 2-3 people. Tastes good!

Mom and I popped in for dinner after walking the Field of Lights. We were freezing cold and hungry. The restaurant was so warm and cozy, with all its colors and the unique hand crafted chairs with actual wood carvings on the backs with beautiful painted art work. The chips and salsa are super good. Our waiter, Christian, was amazing!! He was so sweet and helpful and let me try their shredded beef for a crunchy taco, and it was the best I’ve had in a really, really long time! They actually heat your food in a hot oven and the cheese has a nice browning on top, so your plate will be super hot - no plastic plate microwaved food here! La Mexicana is our #1 go to now every time we visit Paso! Ask for Christian and enjoy!! PS, mom loved her pork chili Verde enchilada!

This is one of my family's favorite placed to go have a sit down meal for Mexican food in Paso. The food is always taste amazing and portions are great, I overindulged and ordered a taco on the side, but the taco salad would of filled me plenty. The service was great. We were meeting my family there and got there a bit before and the hostess sat us got us chips and salsa(make sure to ask for the hot salsa if you like spicy salsas) and got us drinks. The atmosphere is nice the aesthetic is perfect with lots of pictures and art, furniture that show Mexican culture.
